ETVA VIPE S.A. is the leading company in the sector of Industrial Areas and Business Parks in Greece. It was founded in 2003 through the secession of the Industrial Areas sector from ΕΤΒΑbank, upon its acquisition by Piraeus Group, and in its share capital participates the Greek State by 35%. It is the Administration & Management Agency for 25 industrial areas of high standards across the country, in which approximately 2.200 businesses from 50 different sectors are active and over 30.000 people are employed*.
Having the responsibility for the administration and management of these Organized Activities Agents, according to the National Waste Management Plan, ETVA VIPE has the duty to organize the management of waste generated, without prejudice to the obligations of waste producers, deriving from Directive 2008/98/ΕΕand Law 4042/2012.
Regarding liquid waste, the company is responsible for the operation of Wastewater Treatment Plants in six industrial areas across the country (Drama, Heraklion, Komotini, Lamia, Larisa and Patras), as well as for the Waste Treatment Plant of the Tanneries in the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki.
ETVA VIPE promotes investments for the environmental upgrading in the existing industrial areas, aiming at creating a new “business park” model. It already implements an Environmental Management System, ISO 14001:2004 certified, in the Industrial Areas of Lamia and Komotini with the aim of expanding it to all Industrial Areas of its network.
The company enters dynamically cutting-edge sectors for the country’s economic recovery, such as logistics, waste management, renewable energy sources and agricultural products processing, aiming at playing a catalytic role in the transition of Greek industry and entrepreneurship to the future.
